North Dakota legislatures and political subdivisions are meeting today to discuss issues in Western North Dakota.
Gene Veeder, Economic Developer for McKenzie County, says the group is here to talk about infrastructure funding options.
He says they're planning a number of different projects in the Bakken and now just need a way to pay for them.
Some of the projects presented by township representatives include fixing beat down roads and expanding small fire stations.
"All of us want some consensus on how we can fund these projects we're looking at. How we can come out of this as better communities, finding a way to talk to the legislature in a cohesive way with a good set of plans," Veeder said.
Secretary of State's Office is currently reviewing a petition for North Dakota schools to begin after Labor Day.
