Marquardt Announces for City Commission

Posted: Updated:

A long time school board member put his name on the ballot for Bismarck City Commission.

Steve Marquardt is finishing his eighth year on the Bismarck Public School Board.

Marquardt announced this morning he will be running for a seat on the Bismarck City Commission.

His second term on the school board expires in June and he says he is ready for the challenge of the city commission.

He says how to best handle Bismarck's current growth spurt is the biggest challenge facing the city.

Election Day is June 10, 2014.
