The State Fair Grounds in Minot are being renovated so that they can better serve the year-round needs of conferences and events.
Architects are assessing the needs of the buildings to make it more inviting to future consumers.
Fair Manager Renae Korslien says there are few things in mind.
(Renae Korslien, Fair Manager) "We hope that they will come back with some ideas of how we can renovate the State Fair Center. Some of these buildings were built in the seventies so they need to be updated. The heating, the air conditioning, sound, technology is what we are excited about."
The Fair Board decided that to achieve these goals they will enhance the buildings current rooms, and possibly expand facilities.
