Grimsrud Student Council Raises Money for Local Family

The Grimsrud Grizzlies are showing their school spirit this week to help out one very special family.

They're raising money for a young boy in the community who had a brain aneurysm.

The school is having dress up days like wacky Wednesday, stuffed animal day, and today is Grimsrud gear day.

The Student Council says the school's response to this fundraiser has been overwhelming.

"They're really supportive of Student Council. Some are even bring like 10 bucks into it. Our whole class, like some families are really supportive," says Cru, Noah, and Brenna, Student Council Members.

"We asked for a dollar a day and that first day we were getting a lot more than what we would have expected to get. Parents and students have been so generous. Kids have been coming in with their piggy banks and just really wanting to help out," says Nicole Gabel, Student Council Advisor.

The Student Council motioned to donate some of the money they've raised from other fundraisers as well.
