Business Beat 2-27-14

Posted: Updated:

In Bottineau, local artists will soon have a new venue to display their works...Blues is set to open for the first time on Saturday with an evening event set from seven until ten. This art gallery at 617 Main is designed for local artists...and musicians may soon be making appearances as well.

In Minot, plenty of changes at Dakota Square Mall lately. Arby's recently closed its doors...and mall officials say they are currently in negotiations with another company to take over the corner location...however nothing can be made public as of yet. Next door to Arby's, what was StirFry88 is no more. It too has closed down...but a new franchise is set to arrive soon. LeeAnn Chin labels itself as 'quick and contemporary Asian cuisine'. It will open soon.

Next to the clock court, Pretzelmaker has been closed for a few weeks now...and work is underway to bring Francesca's to this location. Francesca's is a national store that features women's clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry and gifts too.

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
