Investigation into School Fire Continues

Posted: Updated:

No arrests have been made after a school fire in Dickinson but multiple agencies are working together to investigate what caused the early morning blaze.

Police got the call that there was a fire at Trinity High School in Dickinson at around 1:17 Monday morning.

There were no injuries and school was called off for the week

The Dickinson police department is involved in the investigation because of the nature of the disaster.

Sgt. Kylan Klauzer says there has not been a fire in a school building in Dickinson since he's been with the department.

He can not say where the fire started at this time and as far as a cause nothing has been ruled out, including arson.

"Yah only a possibility but there are a number of possibilities as well, whether it was an electrical malfunction or something else of nature, we are not positive at this time." says Sgt. Kylan Klauzer, Dickinson Police Department.

Klauzer says the State Fire Marshal and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are all investigating the cause of the school fire.
