Sports Show Setup

Posted: Updated:

At the fair grounds- it's a cold set up day for the KX sports show. But-- temperatures are warming up over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and vendors are saying this event has become signal for spring.

(Jason Nelson, Owner of Paradise Spas and Motor sports) "It's going to be busy. We were in Bismark for their sports show, and that was a great turn out, and people have spring fever that's for sure. The store has been getting lots of phone calls early. I think people are ready for Summer. It's been a long cold, cold winter. We've been in Minot for thirty years on Broadway, and we are happy to been here every year. Our booth grows every year. There's more space available. We have more product, and it's a great way to kick off the year."

Merchants are already predicting this years most popular items.

(Jason Foss, Owner North Country Marine and Motor sports) "Pontoons I think. The last couple of years, pontoons have been huge and it keeps growing. They can do so much. They are so much fun, and families are growing, and you can do a lot of different things on them. From skiing to relaxing to sporting boat they are pretty fast now days."

Besides the profits to be made-- vendors say there is one big reason they keep coming back.

(Jason Nelson, Owner of Paradise Spas and Motor sports) "People. I love to see the people come back, and our customers over thirty years, and that grows, and it's neat to see people progress in life and we'll sell somebody a hot tub eight ten years ago or whatever. Then we'll sell somebody a pontoon as more like their a member of our family through our business it's pretty cool to see the people grow with our business.

Vendors continue to put the final touches on their merchandise, and everything should be thawed out by tomorrow. So come cure your Spring Fever at the KX Sports Show. For KX news I'm Bonnie Campo.

The KX RV and Boat show begins tomorrow at the State Fair Grounds, and goes through Sunday.
