Dutton Case Reopened to Amend a Charge

It looks like a charge against Kynan Dutton will be dropped.

A Grant County State's attorney sent a motion to a judge to drop one menacing charge against the White Supremacist.

Dutton pleaded guilty in February to five counts of menacing and two counts of disorderly conduct.

One of the menacing charges dealt with an encounter with New Leipzig resident Greg Bruce.

A document from the county clerk's office states that the menacing charge against Bruce is the one being dropped.

It says the Bruce made a statement saying he was not in 'eminent fear' the day Dutton and Craig Cobb walked through Leith with guns.

Schwarz says Bruce "drastically lacks credibility."

A judge previously signed an order eliminating a terrorizing against Cobb for the same reason.

This action by the state's attorney will not change the terms of Dutton's probation.

Bruce says he plans to file an ethics complaint with the North Dakota Bar Association against Schwarz.
