Wigs For Kids

Posted: Updated:

Two sisters made their way to Mirror Mirror Salon this afternoon for a different kind of makeover.

Both are donating their hair to Wigs for Kids-- a non-profit company that provides hair pieces to children suffering from medical hair loss at no charge.

The girls made the decision to donate once every three years, and this time their total amount of hair cut equals about twenty inches.

It only take eight of these mini ponytails to supply a full wig.

(Julia and Marissa Beck) "My mom and dad have had a large impact on me, and they have always taught me to do what's right for others. It's a nice thing to do for a person, even though you'll probably never going to meet them. It's just an act of citizenship."

The Beck girls also have an older sister who donates.

Altogether the family has made twelve contributions to Wigs of Kids--

Mirror Mirror continues to cut their hair free of charge.
