Sports Show Underway

Posted: Updated:

Today marks the opening of the thirty-third KX Boat and RV show, but you'll find more than outdoor gear at the show.

Around every corner are vendors who can help you get ready up for Spring and Summer.

There is something for the whole family this weekend at the state fair grounds.

Bonnie Campo was at the show earlier today and visited with two local vendors who there's a lot to choose from.

Between ATV's, hunting gear and dazzling fishing boats the KX Sports show can be pretty macho. But, if you have a taste for the sweeter side of life you can take a sip of the this year's ears newest attraction.

(Christi Mack, Maple River Winery) "The rhubarb vodka is usually a hit, and now the new Aronia is a hit, cause I kind of think that's going to be the North Dakota fruit, compared to the choke cherry. Our wines are usually a rhubarb base. Because people don't usually find a lot of rhubarb wines.

All the alcohol are Pride of Dakota products and bring their flavors all the way from Casselton. Some are a little closer to home.

(Chappy Windsor, Dakota Chappy) "Well our store is a fusion of Scandinavian and Native American cultural represented through fashion. So we do a lot of genuine fur, cashmere, silk, things that function and look great in this environment. So things you can wear out in the cold. That you can wear when you do your outdoor activity, as well as just looking cute."

While you're here you don't always have to leave with an R. V. or a boat. Sometimes you leave just being fabulous. At the KX sports show, I'm Bonnie Campo

The show continues tomorrow from 10 to 7 and Sunday from 11 to five at the North Dakota State Fair Center.
