Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing

Posted: Updated:

A small plane flying from Minot to Dickinson had to make an emergency landing in a farm field after the engine failed.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 66-year-old Gordon Pavlicek was flying a 1971 Piper Cherokee 140 around 5:30 yesterday when he had to land in a Ward County field.

Pavlicek was not injured and the plane suffered mechanical damage.
