Stanley Hospital Gets Major Boost

Posted: Updated:

The American Bank Center-- which has branches all around the North Dakota-- donated $250-thousand dollars today to the Mountrail County Health Center located in Stanley. The money will go to renovate and construct a new emergency room, clinic station and activity center for its nursing home.

Just like other expanding hospitals in the state-- the health center has see a double and sometimes triple increase in the amount of patients in their waiting room. The donated checks will be given over the next decade, at 25-thousand per year.

(Heath Hetzel, American Bank Center) "You know the hospital has really expanded with the population and the growth in western North Dakota. The things that are going on in the area with the medical needs. With the donation of the $250-thousand dollars we're very excited to partner with the hospital, and I think it's a very worthwhile cause, and look forward to seeing the expansion complete."

The hospital continues to search for more donations from the community and local businesses to reach their goal of $6.25 million.
