Honoring Veterans

Posted: Updated:

Generations of veterans were represented today at a flag dedication ceremony.

Emeritus at Brentmoor completed the Veteran's Wall of Honor with the American flag --- which was folded by members of the American Legion and presented to one of 22 veterans that are current residents at Brentmoor.

Chaplain Richard Reuer said it was an honor to be a part of a ceremony thanking veterans of another time.

(Richard Reuer, American Legion Post #26 Chaplain) "We as veterans, it's our way of saying thank you for your service for us, being the veterans of today. They're our veterans of yesterday. And we are the veterans of today. And we're hoping that we will set up an example for the veterans of tomorrow."

The dedication also acted as an introductory meeting of veterans events that the American Legion will be hosting monthly at Brentmoor.
