Watford City residents said yes to a 27-million dollar bond measure--it the first bond the district has proposed in 30 years.
Superintendent Steve Holen says unofficial results show 748 voters said yes and 83 said no--that's a 90 percent approval rate.
Enrollment in the district has doubled since 2010 and Holen says temporary fixes are no longer enough.
Holen says property taxes are expected to increase about $94 per year for a $100,000 home and about $43 per year for one quarter of land in the school district.
The 162,000-square-foot building will be able to house 800 students.
