MDEC Seeks Business Owners

Posted: Updated:

The Mid-Dakota Education Cooperative is looking for a variety of companies and their owners to be part of The Student Internship Program.

It is part of Succeed 2020, aimed at transitioning High School Juniors and Seniors successfully in to college or a career.

The M-D-E-C held informative meetings last week hoping to find businesses that might have an interest.

Kara Butler explains that it will include many levels of participation for both academics and professionals.

(Kara Butler, MDEC Career Counselor) "Depending on the program they might wanna do just a job shadow or just an internship. And they could just be interested in doing career fairs or talking in class rooms for classroom presentations. So it depends on what level they're comfortable with and what program they want to be involved with."

Any business owners or tradesmen who are interested in participating should contact Ms. Butler at the M-D-E-C.
