Bismarck will soon see a new bagel shop on Bowen Ave.

The franchise "Big Apple Bagels" is coming back to North Dakota.

They'll offer bagels, muffins, Brewster's coffee, breakfast sandwiches, soups, and salads.

Owner Essie Wright says her business is unique because the bagels will be baked from scratch every day.

"Baking them fresh and so then you have a lot of creativity with different flavors. We also will make our own cream cheese in many different flavors. We'll have up to 15 different flavors," says Essie Wright, Owner, Big Apple Bagels.

Big Apple Bagels hopes to be open within the first two weeks of April.

Express Yourself Salon in Mandan has moved from Main St. into the old Adventureland Video building.

They're a full service salon offering all aspects of hair, pedicures, manicures, massages, and tanning.

Express Yourself Salon re-opened on February 27 and Owner Jennifer Reinholt says the community likes the new location.

"They love that we have parking. There's no more 90 minute parking anymore and we did everything a little different - the color scheme and kind of switched things up so we've had a really good response," says Jennifer Reinholt, Owner, Express Yourself Salon.

More people means more planes in this community.

Airmotive Services became Mandan Aero Center in November.

Along with the name change, this maintenance facility brings more personnel and technicians.

"If they choose to use us as maintenance facility, we're here to help. If an airport doesn't have maintenance people at it, it limits the benefit of having airplanes," says Mike Aarestad, Director of Maintenance, Mandan Aero Center.

Mandan Aero Center also offers flight instruction and charter.

Aarestad is also the owner of Bismarck Aero Center.

He says because of the cold winter, planes haven't been flying much but says they expect business to be back up this spring.
