Four Troopers Finish Academy Training: Set to Patrol Out West

Posted: Updated:

Four troopers that we've been following as they make their way through the Law Enforcement Academy are heading out west to start working for the Patrol.

The four troopers that have completed training will be stationed in New Town, Dickinson, Parshall and Minot.

By early June, the Highway Patrol expects another 12 troopers to successfully complete training, with six to be assigned for duty in the Williston area;

two in Killdeer and the remaining four scheduled for assignment in Watford City, Dickinson, Rugby and Velva.

The 63rd Legislative Assembly appropriated $3.8 million to place 15 additional troopers on the state's roadways, primarily in western North Dakota.
