Rising temperatures continue to pose problems for homeowners.
Ward County Commissioners put a flood emergency declaration in place for all of Ward County Friday.
The declaration includes making sandbags available to residents in the county.
Meanwhile, in East Fairview, 40 miles west of Watford City, the Red Cross is assisting families whose homes have been lost due to flooding.
Back in Minot, Roads and infrastructure are also being threatened.
Recent temperatures have pushed the frost layer below 7 feet, causing numerous utility line breaks and frozen service lines in Minot...and a city official says more could be expected.
Potholes are also developing, which are being temporarily fixed--permanent work will begin in a few weeks.
