Chavez to Leave MADC

Minot Area Development Corporation President Jerry Chavez announced today that he will be leaving his postition in less than a month.

Chavez has taken a similar position in Plymouth, Indiana heading up the economic development corporation there.

Chavez has been with MADC since April of 2005 as president and CEO.

In a statement today, Minot Mayor Curt Zimbelman praised Chavez and his efforts to develop the Great Plains Energy Park on Minot's eastern edge.

His final day with MADC will be April 11th
