Missouri River Rises Above Flood Stage in Williston Area

Moderate flooding is occurring in Williams and McKenzie Counties...

As of Tuesday, the National Weather Service reports that the Missouri River is more than two feet above flood stage.

At 24 feet water can begin to to cover oil well locations south and east of town.

The river is currently at 24.8 feet.

Flood stage is at 22 feet.

These pictures were taken by Overland Aviation on March 14th.

The river is forecast to fall below flood stage by Friday morning.
