Blaise Energy Provides Solutions to Flaring

One local North Dakota based company is coming up with solutions to flaring.

Workers at Blaise Energy company are talking about ways they're capturing and using natural gas.

Co-Founder Mark Wald says they already have 30 natural gas powered generators out in the field that power other electrical equipment on site.

Blaise Energy also powers their own fleets with flare gas.

Wald says they plan to add a natural gas fueling station in their shop where the cost of using that fuel will be equivalent to 70 cents a gallon.

"That gas needs a home and it's our view that the best place to start is right here at home and use that gas locally or even on site - whether it's power generation or powering fleets, or pulling out the NGL's and trucking them to market. It'll be a combination of those that ultimately I think will put the flare out," says Mark Wald, President/Co-Founder of Blaise Energy.

Blaise Energy got its start a few years ago with a grant from the North Dakota Oil and Gas Research Council, Department of Mineral Resources, and federal money.
