March Madness is in full swing.
The NDSU Bison continue on in the tournament after a big upset win over Oklahoma last night.
While some people are watching the games -- others are playing in games of their own.
Courtney Plante has the story.
Josh Maurer takes to the court at the YMCA any chance he gets.
"I love the game. I love basketball. That's why I'm here. I love playing basketball," said Josh Maurer.
"I gotta educate these young boys out here, that's what I do. I give them a little bit of game,"said Josh Maurer.
When he's not playing -- he's watching whatever March Madness game is on
"I was getting hyped about it. It was a big win," said Josh Maurer.
When it comes to Bison Pride...Maurer's not alone.
"It was just really great to see local guys from North Dakota being able to be on that national stage," said Jen Thorson.
Brenda Werner has a different reason to cheer for NDSU
Her son, Dexter, is a freshman on the team.
"As a mom the thing that was most fun was to see the excitement on his face and him cheering on his teammates," said Brenda Werner.
Some fans have the Bison as a cinderella team of the tournament.
"I have NDSU going to the Sweet 16," said Landon Wurtzke.
Maurer also picked NDSU to win last night -- but he's better on the court than off because he picked Kentucky to win it all.
Reporting in Bismarck for KX News, I'm Courtney Plante.
Maurer will cheer on the Bison again as they take on San Diego State tomorrow at 5:10pm on TNT.
