Time is running out for candidates to file for the Bismarck Mayoral Race.
So far the only person to step forward is Bismarck City Commissioner Mike Seminary.
To run-- A candidate must file a petition with 300 signatures.
"My records show that since 1994 when City and County elections became combined that two of the last five races, the Mayor's race has been unopposed," says Burleigh County Auditor Kevin Glatt.
We wondered what you thought about only one candidate running for the job.
Here's what some people had to say.
"It's probably the symptom of a lack of civic engagement that there are no opponents in the race."
"I think there's more candidates out there that are qualified and I think it's just going to take a little more time and they will show up."
Candidates must drop off petitions at the City Administration's Office by 4pm on April 7th.
It may have been in the 40s this morning, but that did not stop kids from lining up at the local water park this afternoon.
