Authorities say an SUV that crashed on an icy spot of I-25 in Colorado belongs to the McLaughlin School District in South Dakota.

A Colorado public information officer reports that all of the seven occupants are alive as of Tuesday morning, although three were ejected from the vehicle in the crash, and some serious injuries were reported.

There were five female teenage students involved in the crash.

Three thirteen-year-olds, and two fourteen-year-olds.

According to Trooper Nate Reid with the Colorado State Patrol, the driver in the crash, is 26-year-old Kyle Henderson.

Reid says charges are pending.

There was also a 26-year-old female passenger in the vehicle.

At least three of the occupants were ejected.

And none of the youth occupants were wearing seat belts.

They were taken to hospitals in Fort Collins and Loveland.
