The Souris Valley United Way held a fundraiser that complimented its health building block this weekend.
Cycling for a Cause attracted nearly sixty cyclists to the spinning room at the Minot YMCA
Each teammate participated for thirty-five dollars and were welcomed to bring pledge donations as well.
Teams were also encouraged to dress up and have fun, while putting in miles for prizes.
United Way Campaign Coordinator Danielle Cook said there were a variety of awards to win.
(Danielle Cook, Souris Valley United Way Campaign Coordinator) "Either they had a theme, so a lot of them dressed up which was fun. A lot of people tried to get the highest pledge, so we're going to award prizes to the people who raised the most money today as well. And then, just the individual riders. So, they're trying get up in that fifteen mile mark and try to win a prize."
The Cycle for a Cause Fundraiser brought in $2,500 for the non-profit.
