Development Plans Unveiled

Posted: Updated:

Minot River Front and Center will unveil their plans to revitalize six neighborhoods and the downtown area this Thursday night from 4 to 8 at the Minot Auditorium.

The project aims to restore areas that were affected by the flood. Those involved are trying to rebuild small things like playgrounds that were washed away in 2011.

(Donna Bye, Minot River Front and Center) "Most the neighborhoods came up with ideas that were very frugal and modest. We didn't see anyone come up and say we want a giant splash-pad in our neighborhood, or we wanted a fancy bridge. they came back with really small requests."

Funding sources are expected to come from various outlets, and they all have the same goal, to restore the Magic City.
