What started as a traffic stop ended in an attic for one man this afternoon.
A Ward County Deputy stopped a vehicle northeast of Minot and chased a passenger who ran away.
Several agencies got involved in the search for the man until a local resident said the man could be in an attic.
Deputies got the homeowner's permission to search the residence.
Using a mirror and pole-mounted camera, a Minot Police officer found Delwin Irwin Jr. in the attic buried under insulation.
Irwin willingly came down and was arrested and charged with refusal to halt.
He was also served two outstanding warrants.
He is being held at the Ward County Jail pending a court appearance.
