Mums for Moms

Posted: Updated:

Mother's Day is only a month away, and spring is almost in the air... So what better way to celebrate the season than by sending flowers to a loved one?

The Village Family Service Center is in it's fourth annual year

of Mums for Moms.

The service gives the community a chance to send their mothers, teachers, or anybody else flowers, which will be delivered in May.

All funds from the project go to the children's services and supervised parenting time program at the Village.

And the director says that when you order your mums, you're giving to more than just the person receiving the flowers.

(Barbara Fix, Regional Director, Village Family Service Center) "You're also contributing and you're making a donation to the program, and you get something in return. And there's a lot of times when, you know, you're asked to help out and give something, and you don't always get something in return. This is one way where you can kind of keep on giving."

Sales for Mums for Moms will continue through Tuesday.

If you want to order flowers, or volunteer to help with deliveries in May, contact the Village Family Service Center.
