BHS Students Spread Positivity

Bismarck High School students are spreading positivity throughout their school this week with a new program called Sources of Strength.

It focuses on youth suicide prevention through the power of peer social networks.

A positive activity is incorporated into each day this week.

Today is Sticky Note Tuesday.

Notes filled with inspirational messages are placed on all of the lockers.

"I believe that it's very positive and that it will give like a good influence on people to be good leaders and good role models for everybody around them," says Megan Morris, Freshman, BHS.

"If someone's going through a tough time, it's a way for them to cope with that and find ways that they can deal with those challenges that they face in day to day life," says Quinn Irey, Senior, BHS.

The rest of the week is Wall of Strength Wednesday, Thoughtful Thursday, and Funky Music Friday.
