In tonight's student spotlight we're heading to Bowbells where valedictorian Douglas Winzenburg tells us about his goal to attend the University of Mary to major in physical therapy.
(Douglas Winzenburg, Bowbells Senior)"We only have about 60 students K-12, and 5 in my class so I get a lot of one-on-one help with my teachers. I can always come in before school, after school, study halls. They're always open to give me help and whenever there's trouble with homework, I can always come to them and they give me the help I need. I like a lot of sciences and math because that's what I'm going into--physical therapy. Just paying attention to them really sparks an interest in me. My science teachers along the way have been really helpful with me and have noticed it. My math teacher gives me a lot of one-on-one and he helps me a lot. I'm involved in speech, drama, basketball, baseball, football, student council, pep club, band, choir, pretty much anything in a small school like this. Next year, I want to attend college at the University of Mary in Bismarck, go there for physical therapy, after my four years of majoring in athletic training."
Graduation day for all 5 seniors is May 25th.
