Two local filmmakers tell the story of what it's like living in the heart of oil country.
David Diebel and Carson Nordgaard of D&N Cinematics produced a film about life in the Bakken.
They travel throughout oil country talking to farmers and ranchers about how their lives have changed.
Their film is chosen for the Dakota Digital Film Festival in Bismarck.
Diebel says they are honored to be chosen and want people to hear the stories of those living out West.
"We're just far enough away to not really think about it. We don't see it every day. So just that awareness factor I think is the biggest thing ," said Dave Diebel, D&N Cinematics.
You can see their film at the festival on April 25.
Two other films from North Dakota directors will also be featured.
