Pre-Sentence Investigation on Cobb Delivered to Judge

Posted: Updated:

A judge received the results of the pre-sentence investigation he ordered on white supremacist Craig Cobb.

The judge in Cobb's trial, David Reich, asked for the investigation after the two sides in the case approached him with a plea deal.

That was in late February.

The results of the investigation are sealed.

Cobb is scheduled to be sentenced at a hearing on April 29th.

The state's attorney trying the case says if the judge accepts the plea deal he'll be sentenced that day.

But he could choose to deny the change in plea... then the case would go to trial.

If the case goes to trial Cobb faces one count of terrorizing and five counts of menacing.

The charges were amended by Grant County State's Attorney Todd Schwarz.

Cobb originally faced seven charges of terrorizing.

Schwarz says four of the victims of the case advocate the plea deal.

Two have told him they don't like it.
