The Minot High girls soccer team returns plenty of experience from last year's team that narrowly missed qualifying for state. 38 players are out for the team this year that lost only
1 senior to graduation and returns its entire starting lineup. Add to that fact that the team returns its entire defense and all state midfielder Taryn Love and the team has set its sights high for the upcoming season.
Matt Pfau, Majettes Soccer Coach:We got a little of everything actually it's a good mix this year, we have about 5 seniors, 6 juniors like 7 sophomores so it's a good mix, we're young but having some seniors this year is definitely going to help. We return Katelyn Stenberg and our whole defense so that should be strong to start the season, we have Taryn Love at a forward, she was an all-stater last year so kind of look towards her to lead us on offense.
Taryn Love, Junior:We have everyone returning, we've all, we all know to work together we've gotten a lot better at that and then with our new formation that should help like being able to join the attack having numbers up it should be good for us.
Katelyn Stenberg, Junior:We made some changes to our formation and we're feeling pretty confident, pretty strong up top as well as in the back because defense has been our strong point but now that we've made the changes we're feeling good on offense.
The Majettes open their season tomorrow in Grand Forks against Devils Lake and Red River.
