Student Spotlight - Westhope

Posted: Updated:

Two students are finishing their time at Westhope High School with perfect GPAs.

They are the subjects of tonight's Student Spotlight.

(Sage Ballantyne, Westhope Senior) "I think I did well here in Westhope because the teachers are always willing to help no matter what. If you go into their classrooms, no matter any time of the day, they're always going to be there to help you. And I think how close we all are helped to because it's like we're one big family."

(Krystal Heth, Westhope Senior) "Going to Westhope has been really nice because the classes are small so if you need help the teachers are always willing to give you advice or help you out with any problems that you're having."

(Sage Ballantyne, Westhope Senior) "My favorite subject is probably my history classes so right now I'm taking POD and I really like it because I think it's interesting to learn about the government. Forensic science, I'm also taking that from my teacher Ms Grand, and that's really fun because it's a new class this year and it makes you think in a different way and I think that's pretty cool."

(Krystal Heth, Westhope Senior) "This year I've been a big fan of weightlifting, I don't know I just like starting my mornings out pumping some iron and getting exercise and it starts your day out right so it's been my favorite class this year."

(Sage Ballantyne, Westhope Senior) "Next year I plan on going to UND and I want to someday become a psychiatrist so I'm going to have to go to school for a while but I think it's going to be worth it."

(Krystal Heth, Westhope Senior) "After high school I'm going to first start out being a nanny in New York for about two months. When I get back I'm headed to Grand Forks for cosmetology school. I don't know if it'll happen but I hope to someday work on a cruise ship in a salon - I think it would be a lot of fun to travel the world."

Congratulations to Sage and Krystal and these honor students at Westhope.
