(Correction to address in video: Address is 112 Libby Road)

"The fire was driven by the strong winds so that seems to have speed the fires progress up quite a bit," says Chief Allan Klein of the Bismarck Rural Fire Department.

Just after 1pm, Bismarck Rural Fire Department was paged about a house fire.

"We responded, upon our arrival, everything was fully engulfed, fire was coming out of all the windows and through the roof."

The house belongs to Aaron and Sheila Beauchamp who were in the house with their son when the fire started.

According to a neighbor, there was an explosion.

"All Aaron could say was there were explosions and most of the house was on fire and had time to get his family out." says Daniel Raywalt

Neighbors are concerned about Lincoln not having their own fire department.

"It's a tragedy, you know. I fire dept would be essential in this town."

"If something happens at the school we cant wait for the rural fire department to get here." says Tony Zainhofsky

Raywalt says that he and other neighbors will help the Beuchamp's until they can find another place to live.

Fire Chief Klein says they aren't sure what caused the explosion at this time..

He says the wind was the main reason the fire spread so quickly.

The family's neighbors are working on putting together benefits to help them out.
