Women's Retreat at MSU

Posted: Updated:

Over 900 women gathered in Minot this weekend for retreat to listen to a nationally known speaker and writer lead them on their adventure in faith.

Lysa Terkeurst is the president of proverbs 31 ministry, a group dedicated to helping people connect their lives with scripture from the Bible.

They put on this 2 day retreat in Minot every year, but members say this has been by far the largest turnout.

Terkeurst is excited about her first time speaking at the event, and says that even though it is a Bible-based experience, everyone can benefit in some way.

(Lysa Terkeurst, President of Proverbs 31 Ministry) "I think it's important for all women of different backgrounds and different experiences to come together and study God's word as it relates to them and their life. And we may have different viewpoints on things, but when we come together and study God's word, we get a sense of a solid foundation upon which we can build our lives."
