Student Spotlight --- Kenmare

Posted: Updated:

She pictures herself in the ag service industry in the future.

And she is the top graduate at Kenmare High School this year.

Let's meet Katie Nelson in tonight's Student Spotlight.

(Katie Nelson, Kenmare Senior) "We have really good teachers here at Kenmare and they teach really well. We have a lot of specific subjects so we have a broad learning system. And, I don't know, my sisters were smart too so maybe it's genetics! My favorite subjects would probably be math, because I like numbers it's fun and there's one right answer not just anything, and my agriculture classes because I like FFA a lot. I'm involved in FFA, FBLA, volleyball, science olympiad, drama, and band. Next fall I plan to attend NDSU and double major in crop and weed sciences and agribusiness." (So what would you like to do with that?) "Maybe be an agronomist, I don't know, I'm still questioning it, or maybe be a chemical rep and travel around the nation - that sounds kind of fun."

Congratulations to Katie and these honor graduates at Kenmare High School.

A total of 25 seniors will be getting their diplomas on May 25th.
