Student Spotlight --- Surrey

Posted: Updated:

She's hoping for a career helping others in nursing or social work.

Let's go to Surrey to meet Elayne Deibert in tonight's Student Spotlight.

(Elayne Deibert, Surrey Senior) "It's always been important to me to get good grades. My mom has always been supportive to try the best I can and studying and all that so it's always been important to me. Right now my favorite class is POD, it's a government class, taught by Mr. Askvig, he's really helpful with finances and planning for the future. I tried sports but that didn't really pan out so I've done stats for the football team in Surrey and then, Surrey coops with Bishop Ryan for wrestling so I've been a part of that since I was a freshman. And then honor society. Next year I plan on attending MSU and I'm undecided on my major but I'm thinking nursing or social work."

Congratulations to Elayne and these honor students at Surrey High School.

A total of 31 seniors will be graduating on May 25th.

We begin tonight with a miracle. A child - barely a year old - getting his first taste of the noisy world around him.
