Business Beat 4-17-14

Posted: Updated:

A longtime business that called Town and Country Center home from years has changed its ownership...and name recently. 2014 started with Gary's Hairstylists being known as Les Beaux. Ownership remains local...with a DLB grad overseeing day-to-day operations here...that's Whitney Sivertson. She says they have nine stylists now. That's fully staffed and that means they have room to take new clients. This weekend is a chance to check Les Beaux out with an open house on Saturday.

(Whitney Sivertson - Les Beaux Asst. Manager) "We have been remodeling and doing all that and it is finally at a standstill and so we want people to come in and see it."

That grand opening runs from two until four in the afternoon on Saturday.

Also in Minot, a relocation to tell you about...and expansion too. StudioX has moved from its original downtown location here to 31st Avenue SW. You'll find them right next to Pet Parade. The move makes it a bit easier to get in and out of...and makes it easier to expand what they do as well...and that has folks here at Studio X excited about the future.

(Jennifer Hunze - StudioX) "We expanded. Two brand new studios and a new floor. Lots of room with better floor that they are used to when they go around the country to compete."

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
