Teen Girl Shot by 12-Year-Old Boy in Williams County

A 15-year old is shot by a 12-year-old in Williams County early this morning.

Authorities say the shooting appears accidental.

The Williams County Sheriff's Department says a 12-year-old boy shot the 15-year-old girl at 12:48am.

The female was flown to a Minot hospital for medical treatment and is in stable condition.

The boy was referred to juvenile authorities.

The two were acquaintances.

Sgt. Caleb Fry says it happened on Highway 2 and just east of Highway 1804.

The incident remains under investigation.
