Student Spotlight --- Belcourt

Posted: Updated:

She wants to become a nurse practitioner later in life. But right now, she's finishing up a career in school that has landed her at the top of her class in Belcourt.

Let's meet Madison Keplin in tonight's Student Spotlight.

(Madison Keplin, Turtle Mountain High School Senior) "I think we have a very nice group of staff , they're very helpful when you ask them for help they'll always stay after school if you need to make arrangements to stay after school, if they can't they'll get another staff member to stay after school with you. My favorite subject is psychology and sociology with Caroline Azure. I like the way she teaches. One day will be reading, the next day will be hands-on stuff - we'll be doing magazines, we'll draw pictures - I learn easier when it's hands-on and she does a lot of that. I'm in basketball all four years, I was in cross country, softball, the community service group SMAD, that's Students Making a Difference. I'm going to stay here at the Turtle Mountain Community College to get my basics done and then I'm going to switch to UND for family nurse practitioner."

Congratulations to Madison and these five students who are graduating with highest honors at Turtle Mountain High School in Belcourt.

A total of 102 graduates will get their diplomas on May 25th.
