Bismarck Woman Charged with 'AA' Felony for Meth Delivery Near School

A 30-year-old woman is charged with four felonies including a 'AA' felony for delivering meth within 1000 feet of a school.

She is also charged with abuse or neglect of a child... because her 11-year-old daughter was allegedly with her during the drug deal.

Bismarck police say they initially stopped Oliva Hopkins for texting while driving.

The officer got consent to search the vehicle and found meth, a digital scale, meth residue, a syringe and cash.

Hopkins admitted to delivering meth to another man who lived near Wachter Middle School.

Police say she admitted to having her daughter with her when she purchased and delivered the meth.

The other charges include possession of meth by a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and abuse or neglect of a child.

She is held on $5,000 cash only bond and ordered to participate in the 24/7 drug patch testing program.
