Velva Track Team Returns Experience

Posted: Updated:

This year's Velva boys and girls track teams will return experience but the boys team will have more athletes to fill their events. The boys also should be stronger in the sprints and hurdles while the girls will look more to their distance events.

Daniel Kuntz, Senior:We'll have Josh Horner who will do really well in the hurdles and Chris Peterson in the high jump and we'll have Michael Thingstad and a few other sprinters that will do pretty well too.

Josh Horner, Senior:I think the boys team is going to do really good, we didn't lose any seniors last year like we didn't have any seniors last year and so our 4 by 1 and our 4 by 2 now are better than last year and then I placed in the 110 hurdles last year so hoping to take top 3 this year.

Sarah Wherley, Senior:We have a lot of young talented girls that I think really motivate themselves to be out here at practice, get better every single day and you know I see great things for a lot of us not just on the track but also in the field events.

The Aggies next action is at Washburn on Friday.
