Shiloh Christian School Honors Military Families

Posted: Updated:

Shiloh Christian School is a sea of purple this morning.

April is Month of the Military child.

Students and staff participate in "Purple Up! For Military Kids."

A special chapel is held to honor military kids, their families, and veterans.

The service is filled with music led by Shiloh students, a presentation by Bob Upgren, and a time of prayer and blessing.

We talked with two students who say they're proud of their dad for serving in the military.

"It's just really cool that he can do that," says John Floberg, 4th Grader.

"Does that make you pretty proud?"

"Mhmm," says Floberg.

"My dad's in the National Guard and he just got back from Afghanistan in September. It's a lot of fun we get to hang out a lot more, and he loves doing stuff with us," says Zac Martin, Sophomore.

Some of the students were also awarded with a medal from the Military for their service as well.
