Around Town 4-25

Posted: Updated:

Dickinson recently added a new bar...

No, not a bar that serves alcohol...but a bagel bar.

They offer 21 large bagels and 6 mini bagels in all kinds of different flavors.

You can top them off with your choice of nearly 30 different cream cheese flavors.

"When I was going to school in Rapid City, I ate bagels all the time and I came back here and they just don't have anything for it so I was like we've got to do this and the community is very much supportive as you can tell," says Amanda Wilson, Owner, Mandy's Bagel Bar.

They also sell sandwiches, made from scratch soups, and smoothies.

The boutique Brea expanded to Dickinson.

The store is in a remodeled house downtown and sells clothing for all ages.

Manager Pam Kostelecky says her daughter used to live in California and wanted to bring that flavor back to North Dakota.

"The place that she always loved to shop was a little town by the name of Brea and so she moved back to North Dakota and she opened up her first boutique a couple years ago in Mandan and named it Brea," says Pam Kostelecky, Store Manager, Brea.

Brea is open Thursday's 10 to four and Saturday's 11 to six.

A new four story Super 8 Motel is being built in North Bismarck just east of Candlewood Suites.

One of the men working on the project says it will be unlike any other Super 8.

The motel will have nicer finishes and wood veneer in the lobby.

Construction should be completed by the end of July.

The new Super 8 Motel is expected to open mid-July.
