Police and Fire Raise Funds

Posted: Updated:

Most of us are not professional basketball players, but today Minot fire fighters and policemen got a chance to compete with the best ball handlers around.

And it was all for a good cause.

Donations raised at the door, and also in silent auctions, will give the rural fire department new equipment and training, while the police raised funds for their Kids Holiday Youth Programs.

(Pee Wee Harrison, Globe Trotter) "It's all about the community everything that we do. They say it takes a village to raise a child, so what we are trying to do is get the village to come together and realize what parts they play in the community, and see what type of work we can do to better the community for the younger people."

Around 300 people attended the game, and win lose or draw everyone went home with a smile on their face.
