International Music Camp in 59th Year

Posted: Updated:

"Enriching lives through artistic expression and personal growth" - this is the slogan for the upcoming season of International Music Camp, which is in it's 59th year.

The camp is held at the Peace Garden on the border of the US and Canada, and has grown to now play host to students from 13 different countries.

There are multiple sessions to attend throughout the summer to obtain knowledge in many areas of performing arts.

From band and orchestra to drama and dance, the camp has expanded to include over 40 specific branches of the arts.

One camp director says that it's an opportunity for young adults to not only gain experience, but make lasting friendships.

(Christine Baumann, Camp Director) "Our goal is for everyone to just come together. About half of our campers come from the US and the others come from Canada, and we want everyone to just learn and grow in whatever they're at camp for, and have a really good time doing it over the course of the week."

To sign up, you can find International Music Camp online, or visit their office in Minot.

Anyone from the age of 10, to graduating high school seniors can attend the regular camp, and adult camps also offered.
