The red carpet was rolled out for incoming students at Minot State today.
It was orientation day at MSU as students who will be attending school here this fall got a chance to check out what is offered.
These students who will be freshmen next year walked in on red carpets...and were greeted at every turn while inside with someone ready to direct them toward a group or activity on campus.
Camila Van Dyke was a student at Minot State -- and now serves as the residence life coordinator.
She says getting engaged early will lead to a better experience in school for these students.
(Camila Van Dyke - MSU Residence Life Coordinator) "It also gives them an opportunity to know, if they don't know what they are going into, they have lots of resources so they can be a part of different clubs to help them better understand their career field and know what they want to do when they are done."
Today was the first of many orientation days that will be held on the campus of Minot State over the next few months getting the incoming students ready for next fall.
