Judge Accepts Craig Cobb Plea Deal

Posted:

A white supremacist who moved to the town of Leith with hopes of establishing an all-white enclave is sentenced today after reaching a deal with prosecutors.

Craig Cobb had faced felony terrorizing counts for allegedly scaring townsfolk while patrolling Leith with a gun.

In February Cobb reached a deal with prosecutors that called for him to plead guilty to lesser charges.

The judge ordered a presentence investigation before accepting the plea deal.

This morning Judge David Reich accepted it with conditions.

Cobb is charged with five counts of menacing and one count of terrorizing. He is sentenced to four years of supervised probation, which includes GPS monitoring, but will not serve more time in prison.

Cobb said today in court that he regrets his actions and accepts responsibility for them. He says he plans to move to Missouri to take care of his mother.

Here are some terms of his probation. There were twenty-six in all.

1. No contact with victims.

2. Must abide by the law.

3. He can't be in possession of any guns or weapons.

4. Must be employed.

5. No substance use including alcohol.

6. He cannot associate with known felons.

7. He cannot use surveillance equipment.

8. Cobb must inform law enforcement of change of address/employment.

9. His residence, car, computer may be searched at any time.

10. GPS monitoring.
