Technology is helping to make connections for students at Williston State College.
Programs that would not otherwise be available are now possible through online and video connection to other universities in the state.
Williston State College Arts and Human Sciences Chair Kim Weismann is gauging interest in the region for a Bachelor and/or Master degree in Social Work through the institution.
She says it's a field in which there is a great need in the community and thanks to technology.
(Kim Weismann, WSC Arts and Human Sciences Chair) "There is a possibility of being here on campus taking night classes or Ivan classes, meaning over the TV network. We're also looking for students who may not be in Williston but maybe they're in Divide County, so maybe they could connect on their computer from their home and still be in class, so we're exploring lots of options and hopefully we'll come up with something that's good for everybody."
Potential students with an interest in the program are asked to fill out a 15 question survey at www.WillistonState.edu by Wednesday.
